Property Location by highway:

This Property is located in an area that may be the best kept recreational secret in America.  It sits on the banks of the largest body of warm water between the Great Lakes and the  Gulf of Mexico.  It is less than ten miles from two major interstate highway intersections which provide direct access to the populations of Nashville, St. Louis, Memphis, Evansville, and Louisville.   Documented condominium sales from each of these areas at Moon Bay Harbor Phase I, confirm that each of these areas is a viable market. Tarryon Too Subdivision is located south and eight miles west and south of Exit 40 on Interstate 24. This is between St. Louis, MO (3 hrs.) and Nashville, TN.  (1 1/2 hrs.).   The location is also between Memphis, TN (4hrs,) and Evansville, IN (2 hrs.)   just south of U.S. Interstate 69. (formerly the Purchase Parkway and Western Ky Parkway)

Property Location By Water

Tarryon Too lies along the northern shore of Lake Barkley at Cumberland River Mile 37.0, and is directly across the lake from the Land Between the Lakes National Forest.  It is +/_ 4.5 water miles east of the Kentucky / Barkley Lake Canal.

Note: The canal is free flowing and the two lakes create the largest body of water between the Great Lakes and the Gulf of Mexico.

Lakes Area Amenities for every Season-

Few places in Mid-America enjoy the concentration and sheer volume of both water and land borne recreational activities that owners/ visitors to Moon Bay Harbor / Tarryon Too, LBL Area enjoy.

Fantastic fishing, boating, sailing or just anchoring out with friends and family in an awesome setting are just a few of the great summer activities available in this water paradise!

Fall activities include great fishing.   Labor Day starts the fall hunting seasons with the Dove Season.  Deer hunting, turkey hunting soon follow as both the state and LBL host hunts.  Birding is a much enjoyed activity, osprey, bald and golden eagles. white Pelicans, shorebirds and the dozens of songbirds along the “Mississippi Flyway”.  Golf is available at Kentucky Dam Village Golf Course which is twelve miles west, and Mineral Mounds State Park Golf Course which is ten miles east.   The LBL and surrounding area make up one of the largest hardwood forests in America and rivals the Smoky Mountains in the fall for colorful foliage.

In the Spring, the lakes have the historic crappie run, and numerous Bass Tournaments.  The LBL hosts a spring Wild Turkey Hunting Season (the bird not the drink!).  The flowering Dogwood and Redbud trees are beautiful assets during the spring.

The winter the fishing is great, especially for crappie.  Hunting opportunities in the state and the LBL include waterfowl, turkey, deer and many small game species!

A number of festivals (most involving great food) are hosted throughout the year in area towns including Paducah, Grand Rivers, Eddyville, Kuttawa, Princeton, Benton, and Cadiz.   Paducah our largest city is only forty miles away via I 24. It hosts the International Quilters Festival in April and has great shopping and entertainment activities all year.

Airports are available at Kentucky Dam Village State Park and Paducah’s Barkley Field.  Commercial air service is also available from Nashville (BNA), which is only an hour and a half from Tarryon Too via I-24.
